When warehouse racking is the right choice
Warehouse racking is used when goods need organised vertical storage, safer access and clearer stock movement. It is suitable for factories, distribution areas, back-of-house storage rooms and warehouses that handle cartons, pallets or mixed inventory.
- Bulk pallet storage
- Carton and spare-part storage
- Picking areas with clear aisle planning
- Sites that need future rack expansion
Details to confirm before quotation
The rack layout depends on load per level, product dimensions, forklift or manual handling method, available height, door access and floor condition. A quotation is more reliable when these details are checked before selecting beam length or upright depth.
- Floor plan and clear height
- Maximum load per level
- Pallet or carton size
- Forklift turning radius and aisle width
- Delivery and installation access
When another rack type is better
Do not force a pallet racking system into a narrow back room or a manual-picking area. If staff handle small cartons by hand, light or medium storage racks may be safer, easier to adjust and more cost effective.
