Is a storage rack the same as pallet racking?
Not always. Hand-loaded storage racks and warehouse shelving are planned around shelf loads and picking access, while pallet racking also depends on pallets and forklifts.
What does load per level mean?
It is the maximum expected load supported across one configured shelf or beam level, subject to the confirmed design and load distribution.
What information should I send to storage rack suppliers?
Send the location, rack dimensions if known, item size, load per level, number of levels, required quantity and whether the storage racking is for manual picking, factory storage or warehouse stock.
